Create an Estate Plan with XPLAN API

This document details the steps required to create an estate with XPLAN API at Inherit Australia.

This workflow requires XPLAN API Setup.

Before you begin

Please ensure you have access to the following:

1. Setup XPLAN API at Inherit Australia

2. You have access to Inherit Australia account

Create an Estate plan with XPLAN API Data

 

1. Login to Inherit Australia

2. From the Dashboard. Select "Start Estate plan."

3. Search clients at XPLAN by name or XPLAN ID and select "Import."

4. Verify client details

5. XPLAN API does not link client entities. Search for linked entities such as trusts, SMSF and companies (including SMSF corporate trustee) and add them to the list on the right. Keep searching and adding until the entire group structure has been added.

6. Dual estate plan selection

In case of a dual estate plan, select client and spouse. For single clients, ignore this step.

7. Estate plan name, Use the default name or alter it if using an internal naming convention

8. Data import, wait for Inherit Australia to import all clients and entity elements

9. Inherit Australia will redirect you to the newly created estate plan

At Inherit Australia, we understand that your information is sensitive. In order to setup your account we need to verify your email address to ensure your identity. This will allow you to access your data in the future and communicate with us from a verified email address or Google account.

Further, our software platform that gathers your information maintains the highest data security and privacy standards that have been approved by Xero in line with the ATO data security guidelines. All data transactions occur over a secure transit layer (SSL). Our data is stored at Microsoft Azure Australian-based data centre (Port Melbourne) that carries the following internal data security controls and Data centre certificates: ISO 27001, ISO 27018, SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC3, FedRAMP, HITRUST, MTCS, IRAP and ENS.

Your sensitive data is also encrypted at the application layer using a random key and seed generated exclusively for your Life Vault. The keys and seeds are stored in corporate-grade key storage hosted separately from your data and maintained by Microsoft Azure.
